The Darien Public Library and the Aram Public Library in Delavan are happy to announce that we will be offering some fun activities this summer because of a grant that we have received. This program is free.
Participants can learn how to plant seeds, grow plants, and then collect seeds at the end of the season. Learning this cycle will illustrate how people can grow food and bring about sustainability.
Many interesting programs and workshops will be offered free of charge to help participants, through their gardening journeys. Some will be offered virtually, and some at both of the libraries.
Seeds will be provided at both libraries, beginning Monday, March 15th. We invite you to be a part of the fun!
This fun program goes from March 15th- August 15, 2021!
Remember its easy! Take seeds home, plant and watch them grow. At the end of the season, return seeds to the library for next year’s stock.
Seed starting kits are available (in limited supplies) at both Aram Public Library and Darien Public Library. Stop by to pick up your kit prior to this event and get started growing your own vegetable or flower garden.
