Notice to our patrons and the public.
On Thursday, April 16th, Governor Evers announced that the State of Wisconsin will begin to allow public libraries to offer curbside pickup. Starting on Monday, April 27th, 2020, the Darien Public LIbrary will begin offering Curbside Pick-up.
This is how it will work: Place holds via the share catalog or by calling 882-5155. Patrons can place holds on any Darien Public Library material. To do this you will need your library card and pin number. Each time a requested item is set aside, the cardholder will be notified. After you have received a notice to tell you that your holds are ready, please call the library at 882-5155 and we will get your materials ready.
We will be happy to choose books for you, seeing that you won’t be able to come in to choose them yourself. You might want to tell us what authors you like or what topics you are interested in. Just call us at 882-5155 and will be happy to help you.
We are happy to be able to offer curb-side assistance. It is our first “baby step” to work towards re-instating normal library service. Returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours. Our building will remain closed to the public until further notice and no book donations will be accepted.
